Villains: I'm not sure you're right for me, Ganondorf screenshot

last week he was asked to write down everything I wanted antagonists games. The blog is Yamagato333 today that analyzes the various incarnations of all Ganondorf

Zelda

series and why he finally found Skull Kid to be a more interesting villain. Would you like your own blog on the home page? Blog on the theme of the day: integration. - JRO

I have a love / hate relationship with Zelda franchise. I Mask Majora . I do not

Twilight Princess

. I appreciated The Windwaker

. I'm not clouded by nostalgia

Ocarina of Time

Did I mention that I'm not too fond of Ganondorf?

My first outing into the world of Hyrule came on Christmas Day 1998. I opened Ocarina of Time

in mi

Nintendo 64

and began a journey that would change the way we see video games the rest of my life. Before the fateful day video games were nothing more than a hobby, an excuse to stay locked in my room because I did not want to play football at that time. Ocarina of Time

turned my hobby into a love story. I was hooked. I searched for each collection Hyrule, I memorized each dungeon, fell in love with Princess Zelda. The latter is a lie. In fact, I fell in love with the daughter of Lon Lon Ranch ginger.

I really wanted to destroy Ganondorf, because he had injured. He had taken the Triforce of Power and ruined my Hyrule. I was ready to make him suffer, and suffer what he did. I enjoyed every second I went from being electrocuted by his own Kamehameha blast. I laughed every time feverishly cut in line with my sword deformed giant Goron. I savored the moment he entered the Master Sword in his head.

However, even after I found an interesting villain.

want to dominate the world. I have power. Now that rule the world. I want more power. This is the standard bad. There was nothing really compelling behind his particular brand of evil.

Then came the mask

Majora . It was weird. It was different. It scared me. Marilyn Manson has a huge moon hanging over my head. Weird child I met in Ocarina of Time

ran around to bring down the face of Manson from the sky. He did this, harnessing the power of magic and evil mask. I was going crazy, and I do not understand why I was so captivated by this, because so far from its predecessor, and change generally hated. Gradually, he fell deeper into his claws, and my love Ocarina of Time began to fade. I liked the Skull Kid, he was a villain I felt sympathy. This is a boy who wanted nothing more than a friend. A child who had been corrupted by the evil of a mask, and became a monster. I had never experienced this feeling of remorse when I got the head master of weapons of Ganon. He enjoyed every second death. Yet here I was promising that he would not kill the Skull Kid. No, he does not deserve the fate of Ganon.

As I get older, I began to understand that the reason

Mask Majora

had made me forget Ocarina of Time was that his story was more compelling, easier to identify the villain, and therefore, the game was less one-dimensional. The fact that I could understand and sympathize with Skull Kid finally made it more real to me. I was totally immersed in this world because the characters had so much life in them. I mean, seriously, if the trail ends of every citizen in the games of "72 hours" you begin to notice that most of them seem to live real life. They come in different places. They do different things. You have the sense of danger to the public that you are different. It feels like if this child will really bring the Apocalypse.

Kid

skull was again the villain on the block. Ganondorf did not do it just for me.
