05/21/2010 THQ is looking for the truth in the new game party

New THQ party title will use a voice calibration system to determine honesty of players.

Sounding more like it belongs in the CIA than a game shelf, THQ today announced a new party game for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 titled Truth or Lies.

Complex lie-detecting puppet not included.

The eight-player game will use a proprietary voice calibration system--which THQ claims is a first for video games--in order to measure the stress levels of players and determine whether or not they're telling the truth. The game works with either the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone or any standard USB microphone.

The roundtable-style question and answer gameplay will include more than 3,000 questions as well as a "Hot Seat" mode, where players may pick on other players and ask them whatever question they wish.

The game is due this fall.
